The First LetterAs I read your letter I held my breath
Every word pulled my heart from my chest
I can't wait until you read what I wrote
This might be cheesy but you float my boat
Filling me up with much needed happiness
I know at Boot Camp you'll do your best

To My SweetheartOnce upon a time,
In a land not so far away,
there was a teenaged girl
wondering if she should stay.

She faked a smile each morning
and no one seemed to see,
that within that happy façade
she held such misery.

Until the day she met someone
who changed her mind for good;
though how that person found her,
she never understood.

Each day they talked for hours
and that happy feeling grew
until the day they finally met,

The open doorThis heart of mine contains a hole,
an empty space from which she stole
this spark she placed that lit the light
and kept my passions burning bright.

This hollow hole now cold and dark
still feels that phantom flame once sparked
by such a spirit kind and free
that I'm compelled to wait for thee.

Yet I wait not for the one that left
but the fire to fill this soul bereft.
For though this hole was filled before
it still remains an open door,
in hopes you'll enter carefully
and build that passions fire with me.

Messages at midnightLate at night my words slip by
and catch a midnights wandering eye,
who seeks to know who's now in bed
or those awake by thought filled head.
So if you were to read these words tonight,
just know that everything's alright.
Now share with me what's in your head
and replace my top post in its stead.

The never ending youWhat can I write, what can I say,
that hasn't already been expressed every way?
All the facets and fine lines and feelings you are,
have been carefully scribed in great detail so far.
From the simplest of words that have slipped from your soul,
to the intricate parts that keep you humble and whole.
From the thoughts that have moved you and others so grand,
to the aura of passion when one takes your hand.
I have written and spoken and filled up my days,
with detailed descriptions of all of your ways.
Yet for the thousands of words that profess you so true,
I can honestly say I am nowhere closer to through.
