Sing To MeA veritable waste
In an unknown atmosphere …
A long and empty space
Between what is gone and what remains here.
A fear I never knew
Yet feel deep down, completely
Encapsulated, and brand new.
A delicate balance, imprisoned so freely.
And what is left to do
But to hear your voice again?
Ringing clear, sounding so true -
A lilting solo that just began.
A common courtesy,
A loving, charitable stance.
Sing to me so graciously
And give me just one more chance.
Endlessly, I feel you -
Please take me by the hand.
Grace me with that voice, do,
And leave me not to this land
Of violence and make-believe,
I dare not share this woe.
What You're worthWhat is then the worth of time?
An instant, an hour, a night and day,
Moments with you are ever sublime,
For these what price shall I pay?
As sun melts to rain and day to night
Whispers continue by star shines that keep,
On darkest of days each mutter my light,
Arcane confidences in heart held deep,
Never left, never lost, never taken by years,
Seconds tick on and eternally reside
In bottled up laughs and waterless tears,
Their importance greater than oceans wide.
Every second you breathe, you smile, you live,
Is one that for nothing I’d ever give.
What Should Never BeYou were the warmth
I never knew could burn so
you were the familiar
who never woke as I turned to go
I was the protection
I never knew I could trust
you were the temptation
I thought of as anything but lust
Now here is this doubt
I never saw coming to me
There once was wisdom
but that has been usurped easily
An ease of hand there
that I never could expect
fingers tracing on me
the new boundary lines to respect
But you with those lips
I never dreamed to feel softly
and me with these shackles
you never wanted to give in to me
You were the wrong dream
the one with all the broken parts
but I was gone in the light
after you had found my fa
Our LoveI raise my hand to yours.
Our love will open doors.
My love is yours truly.
My heart yours to keep.
Our love will open doors.
Will you be mine?
My heart yours to keep.
Our love will let us shine.
Will you be mine?
Without you I will weep.
Our love will let us shine.
Or let me hear that final beep.
Learning to FlyWe are the wretched ones
Without purpose or name
The ones the whole world shuns
Who suffer spite and shame
And we know solitude
Like a dear old friend
Without a parachute
We fell to meet our end
But maybe you and I
Could plummet hand in hand
And find some way to fly
Yes, maybe even land
Reflecting HeartsOur smiles reflected
In each other's eyes.
And our heart's danced
In each other's gaze.
Yours was the smile
That made me laugh.
Yours, the laugh
At which I hid my blush
What was it you were asking
In each glance at me?
What were your eyes wanting
Each time they questioned me?
Could it have been
The right time?
Could you have been
The right one?
But before it had even started
You had walked away.
Before it had even begun
I felt it slip away.
Because your heart was empty
When mine was full.
Your heart was miles away
When mine lay at your door.
If Only You Knew...You come to me like shadow,
A whisper on the wind.
I know not where you're going...
I care not whom you've been.
You haunt my waking hours,
Alight my darkened dreams...
I think you're my obsession,
At least, that's how it seems.
I watch for you to see me,
I wait for you to know...
My feelings seem to grow.
I want for you to hold me,
I need to feel you near...
Give anything to know your scent...
Or for, your voice, to hear.
A thousand times I've pictured,
The moment in my mind
In my arms...the love that you,
So desperate, seek to find.
Too shy, am I, to tell you...
But how I wish you knew...
How much my...every mome
ExpectationsHe wasn't what you thought he'd be.
Sometimes the looks are all you see.
Your expectations soared up high.
And now to him you feel a tie.
Your heart at times, turns the other way.
Your pains, you wish, would go away.
You want to tell him, yet don't know what to say.
You feel it's a game that you don't want to play.
To get away would be a pleasure.
The extent of your problems, you cannot measure.
Whoever said that love is pain.
Today my respect has truly gained.
MissingI do know why I'm missing you,
Because soon enough isn't soon.
I do know why the starlight calls,
Your voice echoes through moon lit halls,
I close my eyes are dreamers do.
Id say, it's as if you some how knew,
That my dreams brought me back to you.
Your name written here on the wall,
I am in love,
I wake from me dreams far to soon,
And soon I wont know what to do,
But thoughts of you are above all,
and I sit here patiently awaiting the call,
Then sleep once more dreaming anew,
I am in love.
"Do I disappoint you?
Yes you, don't ask me who!"
"Your not the man you thought you'd be
and for that your Pride has taken heavy fee"
"So your Answer is Yes?
A true relief I must confess"
"Thought it did not go as planned
I am grateful for the man I stand."
"What? how can this be so?
I truly got to know!'
"You see the one who hurt us most,
spent her whole life on coast"
"So she did nothing with her life,
I'd rather have known she was my wife"
"She left us all alone,
until a King we had grown"
"And did she Finally want us back?
or does this story's point do lack?"
"She wanted everything she threw away,
But we just smiled and floated down the Bay"
The First LetterAs I read your letter I held my breath
Every word pulled my heart from my chest
I can't wait until you read what I wrote
This might be cheesy but you float my boat
Filling me up with much needed happiness
I know at Boot Camp you'll do your best
Here I'll stay until you come for me
I believe in out love, Baby
So do your sit ups and your crunches
While all of us here miss you bunches
To My SweetheartOnce upon a time,
In a land not so far away,
there was a teenaged girl
wondering if she should stay.
She faked a smile each morning
and no one seemed to see,
that within that happy façade
she held such misery.
Until the day she met someone
who changed her mind for good;
though how that person found her,
she never understood.
Each day they talked for hours
and that happy feeling grew
until the day they finally met,
and her heart jumped high and flew.
She wanted so much to hold your hand,
to hug you tight and say
the happy things you made her feel
most every given day.
But she bit her lip each passing hour,
held her breath and hoped
The Flame of the Cold WarThe evil of our past fire
Led to possibly our last desire.
It’s ironic that the heat of our passion
Led to war in the coldest fashion.
The Man of Winter built this wall
One strong enough to never fall.
You on side and me on the other
Dear God, I miss you, brother.
I wish to climb
But thorns line the border
I hope they dull and coat with grime
As we get older
Now I wish to run
Until the cracked wall give way to sun
And I hope cement turns to glass
So that I can see that you’re okay.
And I wish to gaze into your eyes
Forever, on a never-ending day
But as I watch and a tear falls down my cheek,
I press my ha
Lyrical Deja vuSing me something new;
When everything is hard to bear
Sing a song that’ll surely last
Inaudible words fall upon deaf ears
Life trickles through a silent hourglass
Sing a song of sweetened hue;
Spin a tale that breaks the cast
A tasteful tune not heard before.
That does not revive the past
A song of colours red through blue;
Though life is hard and love is war
Unlike the strain of honeyed throats
A choir should be fresh and raw
Perhaps you have sung a song too few;
Avoid clichés, Shakespearean quotes
Tell me how you really feel
Something marvelled at by most
It’s well and truly overdue;
Rough waves or sweet birdsong
If the melody is strong, clear
This time I’ll sing along
Sing me something new.
Toy heartHis heart like a waking toy will beat at the joyful knowledge of knowing you.
Its rhythm will build a fevered pace each time you're near.
His cogs will turn with anticipation as its counts the seconds to seeing you each time.
Springs will uncoil and welcome your laughter to fill the spaces in between.
Gears will click and whir a tune with the promise of a smile he will bring to your beautiful face.
Yet he needs you to wind and wake him, to mold and make him be the thing you desire most.
This mechanical man, machined by love and fueled by thoughts of you stands new.
He is for you.
What would you have of him?

The open doorThis heart of mine contains a hole,
an empty space from which she stole
this spark she placed that lit the light
and kept my passions burning bright.
This hollow hole now cold and dark
still feels that phantom flame once sparked
by such a spirit kind and free
that I'm compelled to wait for thee.
Yet I wait not for the one that left
but the fire to fill this soul bereft.
For though this hole was filled before
it still remains an open door,
in hopes you'll enter carefully
and build that passions fire with me.
Messages at midnightLate at night my words slip by
and catch a midnights wandering eye,
who seeks to know who's now in bed
or those awake by thought filled head.
So if you were to read these words tonight,
just know that everything's alright.
Now share with me what's in your head
and replace my top post in its stead.
The never ending youWhat can I write, what can I say,
that hasn't already been expressed every way?
All the facets and fine lines and feelings you are,
have been carefully scribed in great detail so far.
From the simplest of words that have slipped from your soul,
to the intricate parts that keep you humble and whole.
From the thoughts that have moved you and others so grand,
to the aura of passion when one takes your hand.
I have written and spoken and filled up my days,
with detailed descriptions of all of your ways.
Yet for the thousands of words that profess you so true,
I can honestly say I am nowhere closer to through.
